We're thrilled to invite talented performers to showcase their skills and passion for the stage.
Pixie & Dot Productions is so proud to open our doors to performers of all backgrounds, abilities, and identities! We welcome individuals of every age, race, ethnicity, body type, gender identity, orientation, and ability to audition for our upcoming shows. Whether you're an experienced performer or stepping on stage for the first time, your unique voice and talents are what make the magic happen!
At Pixie & Dot, we celebrate diversity in all its forms. Neurodivergent performers, individuals with disabilities, and those from the LGBTQ+ community are warmly encouraged to join us. WHO CAN AUDITION
Those who love performing in (TYA) Theatre For Young Audiences. All body types, ages, races, and ethnicities are welcome and encouraged to audition.
WHAT TO PREPARE FOR YOUR AUDITION

DO PERFORMERS GET PAID?
YES! Pixie & Dot Productions pays performers an honorarium for rehearsals and performances for our MainStage season and principal roles in the Pantomime.
REHEARSALS
Please note the rehearsal process starts approximately 4 weeks prior to a show opening with weeknight evening rehearsals and daytime weekend rehearsals. Shows run for 2 weekends, with performances Saturday and Sunday at 10:00am, 1:00pm & 4:00pm.
Our Pantomime has a five week rehearsal process with performances over two weeks in December 2026.

Show #1: Stiles & Drewe’s - The Three Little Pigs

February 7 & 8, 14 & 15, 2026
The first splash on our colourful canvas! These three clever pigs each build their dream homes—but when a big, bad wolf tries to huff and puff them away, they discover that strength, imagination, and teamwork are the best building blocks of all.

Show #2: Freckleface Strawberry - The Musical
Book by Gary Kupper and Rose Caiola | Music & Lyrics by Gary Kupper. Based on the books by Julianne Moore

March 21 & 22, 28 & 29, 2026
Freckleface Strawberry tries to hide her freckles—but learns that the most beautiful colours shine brightest when you let them show. With music, laughter, and a heart full of courage, she reminds us that every dot of colour makes us who we are.

Show #3: Pete The Cat - The Musical

Based on the Pete the Cat series by Kimberly and James Dean

Cool cat Pete keeps his groove no matter what! With his sneakers, guitar, and endless optimism, he paints the world in every shade of awesome. When things get messy, Pete proves that the best art comes from just going with the flow.

Show #4: James and the Giant Peach
Words & Music by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul | Book by Timothy Allen McDonald. Based on the book by Roald Dahl
A bright journey of courage and friendship.
July 4 & 5, 11 & 12, 2026
When young James sets off on a wild journey inside a giant peach, he finds courage, friendship, and adventure beyond imagination. Together with his new insect friends, he learns that even small dreamers can create big, bold stories.

Show #5: Junie B. Jones - The Musical

Learning, laughter, and a splash of mischief!

School is never dull with Junie B. around! With crayons, chaos, and plenty of colour, Junie paints her world with imagination, laughter, and a dash of mischief.

Show #6: Bunnicula - The Musical
Book by Charles Busch | Music by Sam Davis | Lyrics by Mark Waldrop. Based on the novel by Deborah and James Howe
Hop into a colourful mystery!

Something strange is nibbling in the night! When a mysterious bunny arrives and the veggies start losing their colour, the pets are on the case. Is Bunnicula a vampire—or just a misunderstood bunny with a taste for creativity?
